Wendy Salinas
Wendy Salinas founded Illuminate Insurance Solutions in 2015 when she realized she wanted to be an independent agent. Wendy, working in insurance for over 10 years, knew that the confusing waters of insurance was a lot to handle. Helping people understand their coverage options and find a solution that meets each person's situation was Wendy's number 1 priority. She chose the name Illuminate Insurance intentionally, as her goal was to shed light on the solutions that met her client's needs. Her desire to help everyone and anyone will continue to flurry for Illuminate Insurance Solutions. Wendy Salinas will forever be in our hearts as we at Illuminate Insurance Solutions continue her legacy.
Wendy in the Insurance World
Several years ago, Wendy was faced with the need to figure out Medicare solutions for her father who had been diagnosed with dementia. At that point, Wendy did not know a thing about Medicare, but when she felt she wasn't getting clear answers, she launched into a mission to figure out Medicare. She went through training that agents went through to become licensed, even though she didn't intend to get licensed. She simply wanted to help her father to the best of her abilities. After managing her father's insurance for a few years, friends encouraged her to become an agent to help other people understand their options. That was when she found her calling. She strived to take the mystery and confusion out of insurance solutions so her clients felt confident about their coverage decisions. This led Wendy to be awarded the Omaha's Choice Award for an Insurance Agent in 2021.
